A very rare early issue from Sillyon with indigenous ethnic

PAMPHYLIA. Sillyon. Late 4th-early 3rd century BC. AE (Bronze, 16 mm, 4.27 g, 12 h). Bearded head of Ares to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. ΣΕΛΥΝΙΥΣ Male figure standing front, head to left, raising his right hand; to left, star. SNG Paris 951-952. Very rare. Light cleaning scratches, otherwise, very fine.

This earliest issues of Sillyon such as this one still carry the indigenous ethnic ΣΕΛΥΝΙΥΣ instead of the later Hellenized ΣΙΛΛYEΩN on the reverse.
